Rihanna Talks to God About Chris Brown
October 28, 2010 – Rihanna seems to be doing what most smart people do when they get cold cocked by their boyfriend, she asked God “What did I do to deserve this?” The singer told UK's Marie Claire magazine. “God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, what did I do to deserve this?" Why was it backfiring on me?”
Rihanna says that she still has flashbacks of that terrible evening, “I was very lost. I have to say I felt really confused. I hate talking about it but it was really crazy because I felt so out of touch with myself and when that happens.”

The 22 year old says, “It’s scary because nothing you say or do feels like it’s you, you just lose touch of everything that you love and everything that you would normally do; how you would dress or how you would say something.”

Chris Brown Pleads Guilty to Felony Assault
June 23, 2009 – Chris Brown has avoided the gory detailed side-show which would have made him look like a bigger asshole than he already is. The case will now go away quietly and so will the details of what happened last Grammy night when, it looks like, Brown beat the hell out of girlfriend Rihanna. The singer pleaded guilty Monday to assaulting Rihanna and the two were ordered to stay away from each other. Thank God for the latter.

So no prison for Brown and instead he will be wiping graffiti off buildings and cleaning up roadside trash for six months. Is it enough? Brown will be on probation for 5 years and though some say his career has been severely hurt, let’s all remember Michael Jackson is walking the streets.

It’s not entirely true that celebrities always get off totally free since there are those who will never listen to Jackson again but the celebrity world seems to have its own justifications and lop-sided rules. Many would rather have their heroes unaccountable than gone for good. There are still many who are defending  Brown and some going as far as saying that Rihanna provoked him last Feb. 8th. I’m sure, Rihanna is no picnic either, she hasn’t exactly stood up for battered woman everywhere but let’s not make her a double victim. Both seem more interested in their images than their souls. No, I’m not getting all religious but they are young, she’s 21, he is 20. These are both incredibly naive, not very emotionally intelligent kids. She may have a bad pretentious haircut but he’s outright dangerous. I’m sure in some alternate universe there’s a judge handing Rihanna a baseball bat and pointing at Chris Brown’s head.

Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, in his regular mumbo-freakin’-jumbo spin said the plea represented the singer taking responsibility for his actions. Let’s balance it out, beat the living hell out of your girlfriend, bite her then joke her and then you get to clean graffiti?

The judge issued a stay-away order, not just for Brown but for Rihanna as well. Interestingly he was probably trying to help her since she didn’t ask for any restraining order. It requires that Brown and Rihanna stay at least 50 yards from eachother, except at industry events when the distance is reduced to 10 yards.

Brown also has to travel to California every three months and attend domestic violence counselling. – by John Beaudin

Rihanna Leaked Nude Pictures, Are They Real?
May 11, 2009 – Are the nude pictures really of Rihanna? Even though no one has actually said the pics that leaked on the net are in fact Rihanna, her record company has now issued a statement saying they, violate “the artists right.” So, they are of her right, why else would they care? Def Jam Music Group have been sending out cease and desist notices to tons of website that have posted the 7 pictures which show Rihanna in various forms of undress.

The pictures appeared on the net on Friday and some people are pointing pictures at her former boyfriend Chris Brown for leaking the shots though there is no proof of that. One of the photos does show Rihanna taking a picture of her self in front of a mirror that says “I love You.” It would be easy to assume the pics were at least meant for Brown. Where they went from there is anyone’s guess.

Meanwhile Brown’s reps released the following statement concerning accusation that he did it: "This is both a false and defamatory statement. Chris has not released or 'leaked' any photos of Rihanna (or anyone else for that matter)."– Kari Graham

Boxer Wants to Kick the Crap out of Chris Brown, What’s Wrong with That?    
March 24, 2009 – How does that karma jiggy-thing work again? So, if I beat someone up chances are there‘ll be a bigger, badder dude around the corner ready to introduce me to Dan Westman of the Scooter Store? Also, lets remember, Karma gets even bigger if you hit a woman. Maybe that’s why mixed martial artist Din Thomas wants to introduce Chris Brown to a wheelchair of his choice.

On Saturday night, Thomas, beat his opponent, Gabe Lemley, convincingly and his message to Chris Brown seemed to be “Pick on someone your own size.” The crowd went nuts when Thomas grabbed the mic and said, "It's not cool to put your hands on a woman. So Rihanna, if you want someone to kick his ass, holler at me."

TMZ Reporting: Brown Wants Misdemeanor Plea, No Jail Time     
March 10, 2009 – Chris Brown would only cop a plea if it was a misdemeanor and with no jail time according to TMZ. The online magazine says Chris’ family has been talking to lawyers and they feel that Rihanna started the physical contact which should “take it out of the felony category.” So am I missing something here? She hit him first which gives him the right to beat the living crap out of her? According to the TMZ story, after seeing a text message from another woman Rihanna started slapping Brown and “Rihanna was fighting Brown as he punched and hurt her.” Because of their take on this the cause should not be a case that demands a felony plea.

So, Chris Brown’s mom thinks he’s a good boy? Maybe, that will be part of her stand-up act. Who cares what he says lady, watch his feet or in this case his fists. There are tons of cases in the books where woman slap men but most of those men walk away, probably since they are not fuming volcanoes like our little friend Chris. Maybe we should all take another look at the graphic TMZ pic of what Brown allegedly did to Rihanna face?

According to TMZ sources say Rihanna did tell police, “He had beaten her before and the violence had been escalating.” Brown allegedly sent a text message to Rihanna's assistant where he apologized for what he had done to Rihanna and said he was getting help. That kind of evidence could be extremely damaging to Brown.

The latest is the pair are recording a duet!

Chris Brown's Arraignment Postponed Until April 6    
March 5, 2009 – Looks like Chris Brown’s legal team needs more time and they got it. 19 year old Brown didn’t look like a woman beater in court earlier today. He actually looked quite meek wearing a suit and tie and accompanied by his lawyer, Mark Geragos. The court appearance only lasted a few minutes with the judge asking Brown, "You are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone."  The judge also asked Geragos, if there was a "no-contact order", in place, to keep the singer away from girlfriend Rihanna, to which Geragos replied, "Miss Fenty [Rihanna] does not request such an order." Reinforcing that the pair are back together. The judge did grant a postponement until April 6.

This thing is going to get ugly. There is almost no chance of Rihanna pressing charges and lets remember what happens when woman beaters (if he in fact did it) do if they get away with the crime? – They get worse. This does not only send out a bad message to young girls watching this play out but let’s stop and think what other bullies are thinking if he gets away with it? – by John Beaudin

Chris Brown Officially Charged with Two Felonies
March 5, 2009 – Chris Brown has finally been charged with two felonies following a fight he had with girlfriend, Rihanna.

Brown's alleged victim was identified only as “Robyn F,” though Rihanna's real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

If Brown is convicted he could go to state prison for eight months or be on probation up to four years, said district attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons. He should be arraigned later today. He is currently on $50,000 bail.

The 19 year old was arrested Feb. 8. It was not a pretty night for he and Rihanna as they were both scheduled to appear at the Grammys later that night until all hell broke loose. He was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats. Brown said he was “sorry and saddened” about the incident. The pair had reportedly reconciled causing head scratching worldwide. – by John Beaudin
