January 24, 2012 - It’s a done deal as Paul has announced (via his website) that he will be preforming at the 54th annual Grammy Awards in L.A. on Feb 12. This is also a very special occasion for him as he’s nominated this year for Best Historical Album for "Band On The Run." McCartney is definitely no stranger to the stage and if he pulls this one in it will be his 15th Grammy win in all. 
January 23, 2012 - John Mayer has been out of the spotlight since he cancelled numerous gigs last year to undergo throat surgery. His decision to finally go under the knife was necessary after attempts to rest his voice did not help. In the meantime, John had to regroup and push back the release of his new album.

REVIEW: Colbie Caillat – All of You - Universal Republic Caillat co-wrote every tune on the album with different famous, mostly behind-the-scenes songsmiths. The singer’s father, Ken Caillat, co-produced two of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest albums, “Rumours” and “Tusk” and that early inspiration has always showed in her music but nothing like the first tune on this album, “Brighter Than the Sun.” It could easily fit on most Buckingham/Nicks-Mac projects. It’s also her latest single from the CD. It easily reflects that silly-willy-in-love drug that changes the directions of our lives – It’s an irresistible pop tune. “I Do” looks at a common movie theme of a lone-wolf who loves that, sometimes narcissistic, freedom but fate has different plans. With it’s almost 50’s vibe the tune tells the story of that chance meeting that changes everything. This was also picked as the first single, released before the album in February. Caillat has a more serious, sultry, feel on “Before I Let You Go.” It’s another example of that trademark hypnotic effect that the singer soaks every chorus with. It’s pretty easy to sing out load. Colbie Caillat Readies ‘Breakthrough’ While Getting Hooked on Idol Caillat told Billboard.com, "I'm like the loser that goes home from the studio and watches every night.” However, she is not a true Adam Lambert convert. "I think Adam is the most talented vocally, but I don't love how he turns every song into that style of music," she says. Caillat loves Allison Iraheta’s voice and understands young girls’ crush on Kris Allen. In the end she does predict a Lambert victory. Caillat was in the audience last night so maybe that prediction changed after Lambert landing in the bottom 2. Her new album ‘Breakthrough,’ due in August had its share of Idol inspiration. Judge Kara DioGuardi co-wrote three tunes on the project and was part of ‘writing camp’ in Hawaii to come up with new material.
