A Disappointing Return for Sade
REVIEW - Sade – Soldier of Love
June 16, 2010 – There’s always been an understated value to everything that Sade does and sameness to her entire repertoire. That quality of old wine has served the singer/band well… until now. Coroner Says No Foul Play in Michael Jackson’s Death…So Far
June 26, 2009 - Craig Harvey spokesman for the L.A. Coroners office said at a press conference this afternoon that there was no foul play detected in Michael Jackson’s death. There was nothing of surprise at the press conference considering Jackson’s body did not suffer any trauma from a weapon. It does not rule out however what most people speculate was the cause of death – drug abuse or overdose.

Toxicology tests will take 4-6 weeks. Originally it was predicted that results would take 6-8 weeks but there is a possibility that the investigation into his death has been expedited.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson, a close friend of the Jackson family, was very vocal on HLN this afternoon concerning the singer’s doctor, Conrad Murray. He raised questions on whether Jackson was given proper care and why the police chose to tow the doctor’s car into the police station. CNN has reported that the physician was hired for Michael by the concert promoter who had put his comeback tour together.  He arrived in L.A. two weeks ago and was set to accompany Jackson on the entire tour.

The Rev. said, “The circumstances of the death raises questions on why the doctor gave Michael a shot, why Michael died shortly after and why this doctor has suddenly disappeared.”

At the press conference Harvey did mention that it was confirmed that Jackson was taking prescription medication.

Michael Jackson died yesterday from an apparent cardiac arrest. We will be following this story. – by John Beaudin

Did Demerol or Morphine Kill Michael Jackson?
June 26, 2009 – One thing is for sure, the investigation into Michael Jackson’s death will be a long one.

TMZ reported that when EMT arrived at Jackson’s home yesterday, the medics wanted to pronounce the singer dead immediately but Jackson’s personal doctor Dr. Conrad Murray insisted they not “call it.”  Sources told TMZ it seemed someone had been performing CPR on Jackson for “quite some time.” There was also evidence of Lidocaine, a drug sometimes used for heart rhythms.

Paramedic’s wanted to take Jackson’s body directly to the morgue but Dr. Murray demanded that they not pronounce him dead and transport him to the hospital.

It’s also been reported that Murray actually lived in Jackson’s home and that he injected Jackson with something before he died. Nothing has been confirmed but rumours are running rampant that it could have been Demerol. Family members were also concerned that he was taking to much morphine.

Dr. Drew Pinsky told HLN that from the outside looking in, Jackson could have suffered from Chronic Pain syndrome and may have been addicted to painkillers.

Preliminary autopsy reports are expected later this afternoon but all will not be known until Michael’s toxicology reports come in. - by John Beaudin

Lisa Marie Presley Opens Up On Michael Jackson
June 26, 2009 - Here is what Lisa Marie Presley said on her blog this morning:

Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general.

I can't recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my Fathers Death.

At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, "I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did."

I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.

14 years later I am sitting here watching on the news an ambulance leaves the driveway of his home, the big gates, the crowds outside the gates, the coverage, the crowds outside the hospital, the Cause of death and what may have led up to it and the memory of this conversation hit me, as did the unstoppable tears.

A predicted ending by him, by loved ones and by me, but what I didn't predict was how much it was going to hurt when it finally happened.

The person I failed to help is being transferred right now to the LA County Coroners office for his Autopsy.

All of my indifference and detachment that I worked so hard to achieve over the years has just gone into the bowels of hell and right now I am gutted.

I am going to say now what I have never said before because I want the truth out there for once.

Our relationship was not "a sham" as is being reported in the press. It was an unusual relationship yes, where two unusual people who did not live or know a "Normal life" found a connection, perhaps with some suspect timing on his part. Nonetheless, I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much.

I wanted to "save him" I wanted to save him from the inevitable which is what has just happened.

His family and his loved ones also wanted to save him from this as well but didn't know how and this was 14 years ago. We all worried that this would be the outcome then.

At that time, In trying to save him, I almost lost myself.

He was an incredibly dynamic force and power that was not to be underestimated.

When he used it for something good, It was the best and when he used it for something bad, It was really, REALLY bad.

Mediocrity was not a concept that would even for a second enter Michael Jackson's being or actions.

I became very ill and emotionally/ spiritually exhausted in my quest to save him from certain self-destructive behavior and from the awful vampires and leeches he would always manage to magnetize around him.

I was in over my head while trying.

I had my children to care for, I had to make a decision.

The hardest decision I have ever had to make, which was to walk away and let his fate have him, even though I desperately loved him and tried to stop or reverse it somehow.

After the Divorce, I spent a few years obsessing about him and what I could have done different, in regret.

Then I spent some angry years at the whole situation.

At some point, I truly became Indifferent, until now.

As I sit here overwhelmed with sadness, reflection and confusion at what was my biggest failure to date, watching on the news almost play by play The exact Scenario I saw happen on August 16th, 1977 happening again right now with Michael (A sight I never wanted to see again) just as he predicted, I am truly, truly gutted.

Any ill experience or words I have felt towards him in the past has just died inside of me along with him.

He was an amazing person and I am lucky to have gotten as close to him as I did and to have had the many experiences and years that we had together.

I desperately hope that he can be relieved from his pain, pressure and turmoil now.

He deserves to be free from all of that and I hope he is in a better place or will be.

I also hope that anyone else who feels they have failed to help him can be set free because he hopefully finally is.

The World is in shock but somehow he knew exactly how his fate would be played out some day more than anyone else knew, and he was right.

I really needed to say this right now, thanks for listening.

Reaction to Michael Jackson’s Death
June 25, 2009 – Just some of the comments from the entertainment business.

Michael Jackson's former publicist, Michael Levine :

"As someone who served as Michael Jackson's publicist during the 1st child molestation incident, I must confess I am not surprised by today's tragic news.

Michael has been on an impossibly difficult and often self-destructive journey for years. His talent was unquestionable but so too was his discomfort with the norms of the world.

A human simply can not withstand this level of prolonged stress.''

A statement from -Neil Portnow CEO/President The Recording Academy -- the people behind The Grammys:

"Rarely has the world received a gift with the magnitude of artistry, talent and vision as Michael Jackson.

He was a true musical icon whose identifiable voice, innovative dance moves, stunning musical versatility and sheer star power carried him from childhood to worldwide claim.

A 13-time Grammy recipient, Michael's career transcends musical and cultural genres, and his contributions will always keep him in our hearts and memories.

We are deeply saddened by this tragic news, and our hearts go out to his family and to music lovers around the globe who mourn this great loss."

Jackson’s Producer Quincy Jones

"I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words.

Divinity brought our souls together on The Wiz and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the 80's.

To this day, the music we created together on "Off The Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all...talent, grace, professionalism and dedication.

He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever.

I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has.”

Al Sharpton:

"A friend of Michael's for the last 35 years, I call on people around the world to pray for him and his family in the hour.

I have known Michael since we were both teens, worked with him, marched for him, hosted him at our House of Justice headquarters in New York, and we joined together to eulogize our mutual idol, James Brown.

I have known him at his high moments and his low moments and I know he would want us to pray for his family."

Madonna said:
"I can't stop crying over the sad news," Madonna told People. "I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

Reporter Diane Dimond Predicts Michael Jackson’s Cause of Death May be Anorexia and/or Drug Related
June 25, 2009 – Diane Dimond who has covered Michael Jackson for years told CNN’s HLN network today that she believes Anorexia may be named as a possible cause of the cardiac arrest. The investigative reporter who claims to have many inside sources to Michael Jackson said the two biggest problems with the singer were prescription drugs and his eating disorder.

The “King of Pop” was pronounced dead this afternoon according to the LA times and the Associated Press. He suffered cardiac arrest and stopped breathing when paramedics arrived at his LA home at 12:26 pm.

Thousands of fans have now gathered outside the UCLA Medical Center where Jackson was taken. Celebrity tours have put the hospital on their routes this afternoon. A candlelight vigil is expected tonight at the site and all over the world.

CNN medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta said this afternoon that considering Jackson was 50 it was not uncharacteristic for a man his age to die of cardiac arrest.

According to CNN a Jackson family spokesman said that they were worried about Michael’s dependency to prescription drugs.

TMZ are reporting that “People who were with the singer (when arriving at the hospital) were screaming, "You've got to save him! You've got to save him!"”

LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Fred Corral, Leietenant with the coroners Investigative division in L.A. told HLN's Nancy Grace that there will be an autopsy, probably tomorrow morning. He also said that the cause of death has not been determined yet.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II. Brian Oxman, the Jackson family attorney told CNN that chances are Michael Jackson's parents will take care of the kids.

Oxman also said that people around Michael were enabling the singer with drugs. He added that the Jackson family are in such shock that they have not been able to speak to the press. – by John Beaudin

Michael Jackson Dead at 50
June 25, 2009 – The LA Times and CBS news has reported that Pop Superstar Michael Jackson has died. The singer was rushed to UCLA Medical Center shortly after noon today. It was reported that Jackson had gone into cardiac arrest. His father later said that he went into a coma.

Paramedics were sent to his home after the singer stopped breathing.

There have been numerous rumors that Jackson was hooked on prescription drugs. Also word from his upcoming concert event rehearsals had many insiders concerned if the singer was even strong enough to do one show let alone 50. Jackson had recently undergone a full medical to prove that he was fit enough to do the comeback tour. He passed.

No official statement has been released. Michael Jackson was 50. – by John Beaudin

Michael Jackson Shows Might Not Happen Unless “Singer Gets His Act Together”   Bookmark and Share
June 4 , 2009 – Sounds like Michael Jackson might be kicking’ some tires. According to the UK’s Daily Mail he has only shown up for two of the 45 days of rehearsals for his own tour.

An inside source to the tour has said, "The suggestion that they need more time to set up the show in London is a joke.”

Jackson has already had to postpone the first four nights at London’s O2 Arena and asked for more time to get the show together.

The source added, "I think the fans who have already bought tickets should hold their breath and cross their fingers, because there is no guarantee any of this is actually going to happen.

"There is a possibility that this will still happen, but it is up to him to get his act together.

"Michael has only been to two days of rehearsals for the show. His dancers have been working on it every single day for 45 days at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, but Michael has been nowhere to be found." – by Chas Dordie

Michael Jackson Announces Tour in London Today     Bookmark and Share
March 5, 2009 – When the “King of Pop” comes out of hiding it’s a big deal. It’s even bigger when he talks some sense. Today in London Michael Jackson announced his first, though mini, tour since 2001. Thousand of fans gathered at London’s O2 Arena as Jackson announced a string of shows at the huge venue.

At the press conference he announced 10 shows at O2, kicking off July 8, "This is it! This is it!" Jackson told the crowd, "I just wanted to say that these will be my final show performances in London. This will be it, I'll be performing the songs my fans want to hear," Jackson yelled. "I'll see you in July."

This was certainly no overnight decision, Tim Leiweke, the CEO and president of AEG helped set the event up and told Billboard Magazine, "We spent two years working with Michael trying to get him comfortable with this."

There have been reports recently that Jackson was in poor health, Leiweke said, "Despite everything you read about him, he was fine. ... The man took a physical for us to go do these concerts."

He hasn’t released an album since ‘Invincible’ in 2001 but is currently working on a comeback CD. – by John Beaudin

Is Michael Jackson Falling Apart?
Jan. 5 , 2009 – First off, I didn’t think there was any dispute on whether Michael Jackson was still holding together. Aren’t they still looking for his nose in the ball pit at Chuck E Cheese's? Before Christmas the Sunday Express reported that Jackson was suffering from an illness that affected the blood and lungs. Author Ian Halperin said that Jackson could barely speak, suffers from emphysema, internal bleeding, and has lost 95% of the vision in his left eye. Sounds like Ozzy on a good day.

Now a spokesman for Jackson says he’s of, 'fine health.'  In fact it’s just a matter of time until Michael further tarnishes the memory of ‘Thriller’ by releasing more donkey diarrhea. The spokesman went further by insinuating that Halperin was just grandstanding to help sell his unauthorized biography of Jackson. Now, who would do that? – By John Beaudin

urprise, Surprise Michael Jackson Won't Reunite With Jackson 5
Oct. 31, 2008 – You could see this one coming. Michael Jackson says he will not take part in the Jackson 5 reunion tour next year. In other words, Jermaine Jackson is still full of shit! In a statement the pop superstar said, "My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we’ve certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them," he said. "I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon."

Earlier in the week Jermaine had proclaimed during a TV industry function in Sydney, Australia that the whole clan, including Michael and Janet would reunite. "This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together," he told the Australian Associated Press.

"It is just the timing, so what we've been doing is working on the music and all the logistics. It is going to be more like a family affair, Janet's going to open and, of course, the original Jackson 5 ... Michael, Randy and the whole family ... We're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year."

When asked what Michael was doing now, Jermaine said, "I don't know. I think he's in Egypt riding a camel or something." That’s right Jermaine, how does that song go? “You're like ten pounds of camel shit in a nine pound bag." – By John Beaudin

Jermaine Jackson Confirms Jackson Reunion Including Michael
Oct. 30, 2008 – Could it be, the Jackson 5 getting back together? According to Jermaine it’s a done deal and it will include Michael. The Australian media was all over this one yesterday quoting Jermaine as saying, "This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together." He says Janet will also be in the fold, "It is just the timing, so what we've been doing is working on the music and all the logistics."

The tour would start next year and include Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, Janet, Randy and Michael. The Jackson last toured in 1984.

He says, "It is going to be more like a family affair, Janet's going to open and, of course, the original Jackson 5 ... Michael, Randy and the whole family ... we're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year."
