A Disappointing Return for Sade Not to be taken lightly, Sade, the lady and band, has only released 6 albums of original music but stand as one of the most successful musical outlets of the last 25 years. Staying power is rare but Sade certainly has it and her voice, even on this album, is the stuff of angels. Still haunting, peaceful and distinctive, it's a quality that's truly rare in music and it's as captivating as the sirens song. The album kicks off with “The Moon and the Sky” which, without comparisons to the past, sounds like a garden-variety album track from a generic Smooth Jazz vocalist but it’s still drop-dead boring and gloomy at that. Sade Goes Platinum After Only One Month in Stores The singer just released ‘Baby Father’ as the second single from the CD. She says it’s the track that’s getting tons of reaction from fans. ''If you're only making an album every 10 years, it better be good,'' Sade says. On her tunes being about ‘dark nights of the soul’ the singer says, ''If it's like a lighthouse to guide someone past the rocks, that's a great thing.” – by John Beaudin |

Sade Is Queen Again “I only make records when I feel I have something to say,” says the singer, “I’m not interested in releasing music just for the sake of selling something. Sade is not a brand.” Interestingly, even though the singer has been accused of “sounding the same from album to album” she says, "I never want to repeat myself. And that becomes a more interesting challenge for us the longer we carry on together”. Sade also says she’s uneasy with fame. She told The Star newspaper, “I’m uneasy with fame so I do my best to avoid places that will bring me more attention.” “I’ve made sacrifices. I’m not anti-fashion but I’ve always had a bit of a punk attitude. That’s important, I think. I do my own thing.” – by John Beaudin |

Sade Set to Return After Nine Year Break The reclusive singer is expected to be in the studio most of this month with long time bandmate Stuart Matthewman, a.k.a. Cottonbelly. Billboard Magazine quotes a Sony records source as saying, "She is in the studio and the album will come when it is ready, You don't wait for years for one and then rush it." The album is in its early stages. If the project is good Sade will be introduced to a whole new crop of music fans, which were probably too young to remember who she was but staying out of the public eye for so long can also breed indifference among fans. Luckily for Sade her last “Lovers Rock” sold 3.9 million copies in the U.S. alone, the one before that 1992’s “Love Deluxe” sold 3.4 and her first project “Diamond Life” sold an amazing 17 million. – By John Beaudin © Copyright (c) Rock History Book.com. April 4, 2012 – Esperanza Spalding is a groovy chick. I mean, really, when she’s in the room, everyone else disappears and I’m talkin’ more than that big “love-sculpture” hair. She’s the type of musician you might walk up to at a party, ask about her music, and walk away three hours later regretting the question. This lady has a vision so you better have a seat.

Sure, you will feel a certain déjà vu with the new Van Halen album, “A Different Kind of Truth.” That classic sound is certainly there. The problem?
Jan 31, 2012 - Good news for all the Norah Jones fans out there! The singer is set to release a new album in spring called 'Little Broken Hearts.' Jan 24, 2012 - Bruce Springsteen is full speed ahead with his new album due out in March. “Wrecking Ball” will be his 17th studio album and is produced by heavy hitter Ron Aniello (Patti Scialfa, Jars of Clay) and talent thrown in from Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machines) and members of the E Street Band.

McCartney is definitely no stranger to the stage and if he pulls this one in it will be his 15th Grammy win in all.
January 23, 2012 - John Mayer has been out of the spotlight since he cancelled numerous gigs last year to undergo throat surgery. His decision to finally go under the knife was necessary after attempts to rest his voice did not help. In the meantime, John had to regroup and push back the release of his new album.

We all know he has much to talk about when it comes to American Idol, but let’s get back to your roots Steven!
July 26, 2011 - Although Dan Peek left the group America in 1977 he is certainly not forgotten as a member of the famous band. Peek passed away on July 24 of undisclosed causes. He was 60. June 16, 2010 – There’s always been an understated value to everything that Sade does and sameness to her entire repertoire. That quality of old wine has served the singer/band well… until now. Unlike Norah Jones who has, at least, tried to mix-up-the-pot, Sade really needs to stop wearing the same dress to every party.
